For this assignment I had two main issues to tackle, yellowing of the picture and severe physical cracking on the photographs surface. The yellowing I was able to counter by using several mask and cloning techniques in several layers. The cracking and bends in the picture were restored by utilizing healing brushes and cloning tools on various layers.

Requirements: The original picture had to be distressed in some manner, Scan in at max resolution you scanner could handle.

Software: Photoshop

Indoor/Outdoor Portraiture with Natural Lighting

A view out of the Window Morning Light On a Train

Looking back at the project I had a few issues to work thru but my main issue I would easily say was the weather. The week of this assignment was snowy, in the low thirties and cloudy not ideal for an assignment on contrast. The only way I could handle the issue was to change my location to indoors for 2 shoots and my third we bundled up and took to the park when the sun finally broke thru.

Requirement: Shoot all picture during the Golden Hours.

Software: Adobe Photoshop

Stop-Motion Animation

My first issue was my other ideas were greater then my current skill and time allotment, I also had several other clips but had to cut the stop motion short due to the 30 sec requirement.

I am going to buy a better green screen the poster board worked but cast shadows and reflections that were hard to work out with the ultra key effect in premiere. I may also look at Blenders masking techniques for 3d applications.

Requirement: 30 Seconds +/- 2 sec for open and closing, use a phone based Stop Motion application, recorded dialogue, 32 sound effects and a background track.

Software: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Audition, StikBot Studio App

Two-Dimensional Animation

My main issue for this assignment was having to only use the Adobe Animate for our asset creation. Not being able to use illustrator and Photoshop for other assignments forced me to be creative in the creation of assets from manual perspectives of the buildings to recreating the HACC poster.

Requirments: All assets need to be created in Adobe Animate, No sound, main toon needed to be a fruit, and we had to have a Motion Tween and a Shape Tween.

Software: Adobe Animate CC

Audio Public Service Announcement or Audio Radio Ad Parody

The sound quality of the main Dialogue. I recorded the main audio a few times, but the audio just seemed off no matter how I messed with the reverb and noise settings there was a high pitch hollow sound.

To fix the issues I recorded a final time in a smaller paneled room with cloth hanging.

Requirements: Dialogue had to be recorded within Adobe Audition, The main voice had to be run with a background track, 2 effects needed to be added, add a reverb effect and the most limiting it had to be exactly 30 seconds.

Software: Adobe Audition

Video Production "How To..."

The project required 5 minutes was my main issue, a lot to say in a little time slot. To overcome that issue I increased the framerate in some areas and creatively trimmed out others to squeeze a lot of info into segment.

Requirements: Max of 5 minutes, had to be in 720p, 10 to 20 clips of 10 seconds with still, background track had to be used over a voice dialogue.

Software: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Audition, Adobe Illustrator
